Two Wildfires Near Los Vaqueros Reservoir Snarled Vasco Road Traffic Friday
Livermore-Pleasanton Fire crews and multiple other agencies assisted with the blaze burning on the county line.

Multiple East Bay fire agencies responded to two small wildfires at the county line dividing Alameda and Contra Costa counties Friday evening, a battalion chief said.
The incident was reported at 6:24 p.m. on Vasco Road, near the Los Vaqueros Reservoir and Watershed, according to Alameda County Fire Department Batallion Chief Stephanie Radecke. The two fires were estimated at roughly six acres in total around 7:15 p.m., Radecke said, and they were burning in very steep terrain.
Traffic on Vasco Road was also impacted. Personnel from Cal Fire, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department also responded to the scene.
