Zachary's Pizza Opening Livermore Location: Reports
The popular employee-owned Chicago-style pizza chain is opening its second Tri-Valley location in Livermore later this year.
LIVERMORE, CA — A little bit of Chicago is coming to Livermore. Zachary’s Pizza, the popular Oakland-based chain famous for its deep-dish and stuffed Chicago-style pies, confirmed to The Livermore Vine that they will open their sixth location at 2470 First Street, the former location of Paxti’s Pizza.
Zachary’s has been honored with over 225 ‘Best Pizza’ awards for its unique pizza, which features a double-crusted, stuffed Chicago-style preparation layered with cheese, fresh toppings, and sauce on top. The menu features a number of topping choices, including chicken, barbecue chicken, Mediterranean salad, spinach and mushroom, and the full “Carne,” featuring sausage, pepperoni, salami, chopped bacon, and mozzarella.
The store is not only known for its pizza. In 2003, after 20 years in business, owners Zach Zachowski and Barbara Gabel retired and decided to sell the company to their employees. Today, Zachary’s remains one of the few 100% employee-owned businesses in the Bay Area.
