LONG BEACH, CA — Four people had a scare but escaped without injury when someone fired gunshots at them in Long Beach, authorities said Sunday.
Officers responded to a "shots" call at about 4:20 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Gaviota Avenue, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
"Preliminary investigation revealed an unknown male suspect shot in the same vicinity as the four male victims, none of which were struck with gunfire," according to a police statement. "The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown. Evidence was collected."
