Earthquake Shakes LA County: Did You Feel It?
An earthquake struck in Long Beach Friday afternoon, according the to U.S. Geological Survey.
LONG BEACH, CA — The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 2.6 magnitude earthquake struck in Long Beach Friday afternoon.
The quake shook at about 12:24 p.m. and the U.S. Geological Survey estimated the center to be near the traffic circle in Long Beach.
The center of the earthquake was about 7.9 miles deep and was felt in nearby areas as far as Little Tokyo in Los Angeles and Downey.

Officials didn't report any damage or injuries due to the quake.
