LONG BEACH, CA — A father of three was left paralyzed after being randomly shot on the Long Beach (710) Freeway as he drove home from work Friday night, according to a report by ABC7.

The man, Fabian Limas, was driving on the southbound 710 Freeway and was six minutes from home when someone shot at his truck, striking him in the back, his wife told ABC.

"It's like a nightmare," Limas' wife told ABC7. "You don't want (anybody) to go through this. No one deserves this."

A GoFundMe has since been started to help Limas' family financially. It has raised $15,422 out of its $25,000 goal as of Thursday morning.
