Fight Leads To Stabbing In Midtown Long Beach: Police Investigation Continues

One man was injured, police say.

LONG BEACH, CA — Police Thursday are continuing their investigation of a stabbing in the Midtown area of Long Beach that left one man wounded after a physical altercation.

Long Beach Police Department officers responded at 7:51 p.m. Tuesday to the 1000 block of Long Beach Boulevard and East 10th Street regarding a stabbing. When they arrived at the scene, officers found a man with non-life-threatening stab wounds to the upper body, the police department said.

Preliminary information of the investigation revealed the victim and a male suspect were engaged in a physical altercation, which escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim, police said.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to a hospital.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
