Fire Crews Extinguish 'Suspicious' Blazes In Long Beach
Crews quickly extinguished both fires Thursday and said they were deemed suspicious.
LONG BEACH, CA — Fire investigators are looking into the cause of two "suspicious" blazes that erupted in Long Beach Thursday afternoon.
The first fire broke out around 4:20 p.m. in a tunnel near the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway and Long Beach Boulevard, fire officials said in a statement Thursday.
Crews worked to quickly put out the flames, but shortly after, responded to a storage yard in the area of Del Mar Avenue and Terry Lane, where large plastic tubing was burning, according to fire officials, who said firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
