Hit-And-Run Driver Seriously Injures Bicyclist: LBPD
A bicyclist was hospitalized with serious, but not fatal injuries after a driver hit him during a group bike ride and drove away.

LONG BEACH, CA — The Long Beach Police Department sought the public's help Tuesday to find a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a bicyclist.
According to the LBPD, officers received a report of a collision between a car and a bicyclist at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and 4th Street at about 9:50 p.m. on Jan. 25. When officers arrived, they found a man who was lying halfway on the sidewalk.
"Officers provided first aid until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and transported the man to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries," the LBPD said in a statement.

According to preliminary investigation information, the bicyclist was part of a group bike ride that was traveling westbound on 4th Street. Witnesses told police that a silver Nissan with chrome rims hit the man and drove away.
