Homicide Investigation Shuts Down Streets In Long Beach
Long Beach homicide detectives are investigating a body that was discovered in East Long Beach early Thursday morning.

LONG BEACH, CA — Homicide detectives are on scene in East Long Beach after authorities discovered a body in an alleyway early Thursday morning.
Police responded to the 1300 block of East Anaheim Street at about 4:37 a.m. to assist the Long Beach Fire Department with the investigation. When police arrived, they found a deceased man who had multiple injuries to his upper body.
No additional information was immediately available, but police said due to the circumstances surrounding the man's death homicide detectives were called to the crime scene.

Currently, Anaheim Street is closed in both directions at Long beach Boulevard due to the investigation. Travelers were asked to use alternate routes.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
