Knife Fight on Metro Blue Line in Long Beach Disrupted Service for Nearly an Hour
Two women were fighting each other on the train before it stopped at the Fifth Street station.

LONG BEACH, CA -- A knife fight between two female passengers on the Metro Blue Line in Long Beach on Monday morning disrupted services for nearly an hour, authorities said.
The fight started at around 8 a.m. on the train between two women, one of the women then pulled out a knife and slashed the other woman, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lt. Matthew King said.
When the trained stopped at the Fifth Street station, both women exited the train and were detained by police. The women were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Services were stopped as authorities investigate.

Trains were bypassing the Fifth Street station with bus services ferrying customers from the Anaheim Street station to First Street station, Metro spokesman Jose Ubaldo said.
Services has seen resumed as normal at around 8:45 a.m., King said.
