A Long Beach Police motorcycle sergeant was taken to a hospital to be checked for injuries after he was involved in a collision, a police spokesman said Sunday.
It occurred just before 10 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Cherry Avenue, said Long Beach police Sgt. Aaron Eaton. That's near or at the intersection of Cherry and 10th Street.
A video photographer at the scene said the motorcycle sergeant struck a yellow, 1970s model Volkswagen Beetle, near the driveway of an apartment complex.
