Long Beach Seeks Input On Permitting Cannabis Special Events
The Office of Cannabis Oversight is conducting a feasibility study to get feedback on permitting temporary cannabis events.
LONG BEACH, CA — Long Beach residents have the chance to provide input to the city regarding permitting temporary cannabis special events in the city.
The Office of Cannabis Oversight is conducting a feasibility study to help inform proposed policy recommendations for permitting temporary cannabis events, including types of appropriate venues.
To be a part of the survey and provide input to the city, residents can complete an online form available until Sept. 25.

During the Aug. 6 Long Beach City Council Meeting, council members requested the City Manager to conduct the study and report back within 60 days. The proposal was brought forth by councilmember Al Austin and co-sponsored by councilmember Mary Zendajas.
Once completed, the Office of Cannabis Oversight will present the report to the City Council.
