Man Fatally Shot At Park In Compton
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies found a man who had been shot multiple times at Roy Campanella Park, authorities said.
LOS ANGELES, CA—Deputies are investigating a shooting in Compton that left a man dead Monday evening, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
LASD officials say deputies patrolling the area near 14000 block of Stanford Avenue responded to Roy Campanella Park after hearing gunshots around 6:10 p.m.
There, the deputies found a man who had been shot multiple times, the sheriff's department added.

The deputies rendered aid to the man until Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel arrived and took him to a local hospital where he died from his injuries, according to the LASD.
It's unclear who shot the man or why. No suspect information was immediately available.
