The victim was identified as Jesse Stiles, 43, the Long Beach Police Department reported.Officers dispatched at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday to a shooting call in the area of 17th Street and Santa Fe Avenue located Stiles suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.Paramedics rushed the Long Beach resident to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries."Homicide detectives are investigating the motive and circumstances leading up to the shooting and are working to identify possible suspect(s)," according to a police statement.Police urged anyone with information regarding the shooting to call them at 562-570-7244. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call 800-222- 8477 or visit lacrimestoppers.org.— City News Service
