Man Found Fatally Shot Inside Car In Long Beach

Long Beach police are investigating the death of a man who was found shot inside a parked car Wednesday morning.

LONG BEACH, CA — Long Beach police are investigating the death of a man who was found shot inside a car in the MacArthur Park neighborhood Wednesday morning.

Police responded to a call for aid in the 2200 block of Spaulding Street from the Long Beach Fire Department at about 7:30 a.m. Fire personnel informed police that the man was inside a parked car at the scene and had been declared dead.

According to homicide detectives, the man was shot in the upper body. His identity was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

The motive for the shooting and circumstances of the incident are still under investigation, police said.
