Man Injured After Gun Accidentally Fires In Long Beach: Police Say

An investigation is ongoing, police say.

LONG BEACH, CA — A man was injured after a gun accidentally fired in Long Beach, police say.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of Sherman Place just after 12:30 a.m. Thursday, the Long Beach Police Department said.

When officers arrived, they found a man with non-life-threatening injuries to his lower body, police said.
