Man Killed By Gunfire In Long Beach: Police

He was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to police.

LONG BEACH, CA — Homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man Saturday in Long Beach, according to police.

Officers responded around 11:30 a.m. to a report of a shooting and found 43-year-old Jesse Stiles of Long Beach suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body at 17th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, police said.

Stiles was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to police.
