Officers dispatched at about 8 p.m. Friday to the 5400 block of Paramount Boulevard regarding a shooting located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. No motive or suspect information was immediately available. Anyone with information regarding the apparent homicide was urged to call the LBPD at 562-570-7244.
