Man Suffers Gunshot Wound At Parking Lot In Long Beach
Suspect information and the motive for the shooting were under investigation.
LONG BEACH, CA — A man was shot at a parking lot in Long Beach this morning, authorities said.
The victim self-transported to a hospital for what was described as a non-life-threatening wound to the upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Officers responded to the hospital at about 5 a.m. Sunday, where the victim told them that he was in a parking lot in the 2200 block of Lakewood Boulevard and got into a verbal altercation with a male adult suspect, which escalated into a shooting.
Suspect information and the motive for the shooting were under investigation.
