Metro Worker Injured After Being Hit By Passing Train In Long Beach
Both Metro and Long Beach police are investigating.

LONG BEACH, CA — A Metro worker sustained non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday when he was hit by a train passing through the downtown Long Beach light rail station.
The man was struck at about 10:40 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of West First Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
He was taken to a hospital by Long Beach Fire Department personnel and Metro was providing support to him and his family.

The accident temporarily halted service on Metro's A Line between the downtown Long Beach and Pacific Avenue stations.
