Suspect In Double Fatal Hit-And-Run Linked To Another Fatal Long Beach Crash: Police (patch.com) — Long Beach readers are learning more about a deadly hit-and-run at Sixth Street and Atlantic Avenue, where two young passengers were killed and several others injured. Police say the Long Beach woman who surrendered this week is also linked by forensic evidence to an earlier fatal bicycle crash near East 4th Street and Bonito Avenue, and prosecutors are now weighing separate cases.
   

2. Long Beach and California say they won't yet enforce mask ban on federal agents (lbpost.com) — Long Beach officials are currently not enforcing California’s new ban on masked law enforcement officers while a federal lawsuit plays out, leaving local agencies in limbo. City Attorney Dawn McIntosh and City Prosecutor Doug Haubert say they can’t move forward until a judge rules on a preliminary injunction, even as LBPD already limits mask use and federal immigration agents continue operating in the city.
   

3. Counterfeit cash defrauds In-N-Out in LA, OC, and Glendale police say; 2 Long Beach residents arrested (presstelegram.com) — Two people identified as Long Beach residents have been arrested in connection with a counterfeit-cash scheme that allegedly hit a dozen In-N-Out locations across Los Angeles and Orange counties. Glendale police say surveillance and search warrants tied the pair to fake bills and related transactions, and one suspect already faces felony counterfeiting and grand theft charges. Investigators are asking potential victims to report any suspected counterfeit incidents promptly.
   

4. Hundreds converge on downtown Long Beach after fatal immigration shooting in Minneapolis (presstelegram.com) — Hundreds of residents filled the Long Beach Civic Center and downtown streets Thursday night to mourn Renee Nicole Good and protest federal immigration enforcement tactics. Local leaders, including Mayor Rex Richardson and Supervisor Janice Hahn, condemned recent ICE shootings and called for stronger protections for immigrants, while community groups urged the city to deepen its sanctuary policies and keep federal agents out of Long Beach neighborhoods.
   

5.
