Person Rescued From Fire In Long Beach Apartment

Firefighters were able to rescue the resident of a Long Beach apartment on fire and prevent the flames from spreading to adjacent units.

LONG BEACH, CA — Long Beach firefighters rescued a resident from an apartment fire in the South Wrigley neighborhood Thursday night.

According to the Long Beach Fire Department, crews were able to gain quick access and rescue the person inside while battling the blaze.

"Crews were also able to extinguish the fire preventing further spread to adjacent units," LBFD said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The fire was extinguished and the cause is still under investigation, officials said.
