LONG BEACH, CA — A woman found dead near El Dorado Park in Long Beach might be the victim of a homicide, authorities said Saturday. Long Beach police and firefighters were summoned at about 11:45 a.m. Friday to the area of the San Gabriel River and Willow Street on a report of a body that did not appear to have died from natural causes, according to a Long Beach Police Department release.Arriving officers determined the death might have been a homicide, police officials said.The woman's death was under investigation and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner will confirm identity and determine cause, police said.Anyone with information was asked to call homicide detectives Ethan Shear and Chasen Contreras at 562-570-7244, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.— City News Service
