What You'll Need to Prepare for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach

The 50th Anniversary of the Grand Prix is slated to be among the best ever. The organizers have everything you'll need to prepare for it.

The organizers have pulled out all the stops for this one. Headlined by the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, as well as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the Grand Prix weekend will include the Super Drift Challenge under the lights on Friday and Saturday nights, plus doubleheader action from Robby Gordon’s SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks, GT America Powered by AWS and the Historic Formula Exhibition. Here’s what you need to prepare.

The Fan Guide

You don’t need to wait for the event to get the program guide for the 2025 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. There’s a 33-page Fan Guide, and it’s available at gplb.com/fan-guide. You can also download it here.

The Fan Guide has the tentative schedule (as with most events of this magnitude, the schedule is subject to fine-tuning), descriptions of each individual event, information on racing parties, exhibit information, food and drink information (did you know there’s a Cuevo Agave Bar and Festival?), ticket information, a summary of prohibitions, financial information (the event is virtually cashless), first aid information, lost and found information, the re-entry policy, nursing, parking information, VIP club and special passes information, an overhead map to the Grand Prix, alternative transportation information, and race series schedules.

There’s An App For The Grand Prix

The Fan Guide is convenient for laptop and tablet viewing, but may be a bit awkward for those that rely on their smart phones for all their information. Accordingly, the grand prix organizers have an app you can install on your phone (for free) that will give you all the Fan Guide information for your smart phone.

Here’s what the organizers promise with the app: “You can enable push notifications and stay informed about events happening throughout the weekend (e.g., the INDYCAR autograph session and other notices). On race weekend, the app will feature a GPS map so you can find the best route to your destination. With the official app, you won’t miss a single part of all the action taking place at this year’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach!”

To download the app, go to the Apple App store for iPhones or Google Play for Android phones.

Getting Tickets, Getting Parking

Here’s the straight scoop from the organizers: Acura Grand Prix ticket prices range from $54 (“all-in” pricing) for a Friday General Admission ticket to $215 for a three-day ticket that includes Sat./Sun. reserved seating in grandstand upper levels. Pre-paid parking packages are also available, along with handicapped seating, NTT INDYCAR SERIES Paddock passes, Super Photo tickets and a wide variety of hospitality packages.

Fans can select and pay for their 2025 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach seats, parking and paddock passes online at gplb.com. Ticket orders can also be placed by calling the ticket hotline, (888) 827-7333.

Fans can also follow the 2025 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on Facebook at GrandPrixLB, X at GPLongBeach (#AGPLB50), Instagram at GPLongBeach and YouTube at GPLongBeach, as well as via the official Grand Prix app available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Alternative Transportation

The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is expected to draw close to 200,000 people. So, if you think Southern California traffic congestion is high, imagine a good segment of the Southland (not to mention journalists and spectators from around the world) wanting to converge in Long Beach for the Grand Prix. This makes alternative transportation worth considering. And the organizers have a page devoted to alternative transportation. Here’s a snipet from the page:

“Park your car. Take a taxi, Uber or Lyft. Hop a train or bus. Ride a bike. From virtually anywhere in Southern California, surface transportation will take you right to the downtown gates of the Grand Prix circuit with no gridlock worries.

As for the other ways to get to the event, the organizers suggest the following:

“Getting around Downtown Long Beach – a great walk-around city – is easy using this simple-to-follow map (834 KB PDF download).”

The Golden Anniversary

There’s nothing quite like having a grand prix race in the middle of your city. Long Beach, California has enjoyed 50 years of grand prix racing. That makes this grand prix particularly special. The organizers have held back on nothing this time around. The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beack website has more information than you can imagine. Be sure to make some time to check it out at gplb.com.
