Serial Burglar Arrested In Long Beach: Police

A 37-year-old man suspected in a series of burglaries in Long Beach was being held without bail Wednesday.

LONG BEACH, CA — A 37-year-old man suspected in a series of burglaries in Long Beach was being held without bail Wednesday.

Raymond Edward Billingsley of Long Beach was arrested around 10 a.m. Monday in the area of Anaheim Street and Dawson Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Officers recognized him from security footage from the series of burglaries, police said.

Investigators believe the suspect was involved in commercial burglaries that occurred:

  • Oct. 26 at 420 Cherry Ave.
  • Oct. 26 at 2201 Lakewood Blvd.
  • Oct. 28 at 913 E. Wardlow Road
  • Saturday at 2211 E. Seventh St.
  • Sunday at 2841 E. Anaheim St.

He is also suspected in a vehicle burglary that occurred Sunday in the 2700 block of Spaulding Street, police said.

Billingsley was booked on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglary tools, and violating probation, and was being held without bail for the probation violation.
