110 Freeway Reopened After Chase Standoff
A driver led police on a chase from the San Fernando Valley area to the South Los Angeles area, forcing the freeway closure.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities Monday took a motorist into custody after a brief chase from Burbank to the South Los Angeles area.
The vehicle, which had at least two flat tires, stopped shortly after 11 a.m. on the right shoulder of the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway near Century Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The motorist was taken into custody a few minutes later, following a standoff with officers. The name of the motorist was not immediately available.

The CHP was notified by the Burbank Police Department that its officers had tried to stop the vehicle for being driven erratically.
CHP officers began chasing the vehicle shortly before 11 a.m. on the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway, and the chase led onto the southbound 110 Freeway.
