300 Pounds Of Meth Seized During Traffic Stop In ​LA County: Police

The traffic stop was made in the area of Firestone Boulevard and the Long Beach Freeway, the South Gate Police Department reported.

SOUTH GATE, CA —A traffic stop in South Gate recovered more than 300 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of more than $1 million, authorities said Sunday.

The traffic stop was made Friday in the area of Firestone Boulevard and the Long Beach (710) Freeway, the South Gate Police Department reported.

"During the stop, our own K-9 Otis did what he does best and they (officers) were able to locate over 300lbs of methamphetamine," according to a police statement. "The driver was subsequently arrested for possession (with) multiple charges."
