8 Amazon Delivery Vehicles Destroyed, 2 Damaged In Fire

The gas-powered delivery vans were on fire when firefighters arrived, officials said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Eight vehicles were destroyed and two others damaged in an early morning fire at an Amazon warehouse, authorities said Sunday.

The fire was reported at 1:35 a.m. at 4841 W. San Fernando Road, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

The address is a warehouse listed as DLX5 Amazon.

The gas-powered delivery vans were on fire when firefighters arrived, Stewart said.

"Firefighters extinguished all vehicles with no damage to any structures and no injuries reported," she said. "All vehicles were empty, no packages on board. Eight were a total loss and two were damaged."

The cause remains under investigation.
