Actor Accused Of Stabbing Hollywood Makeup Artist Girlfriend 20 Times

The actor was arrested at a U.S.-Mexico border in Texas trying to flee the country after the incident, authorities said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 34-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and other counts for allegedly stabbing his estranged girlfriend multiple times at her Sunland house, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.

Nick Pasqual — who was named in a restraining order recently sought by the woman — allegedly broke into her home at about 4:30 a.m. last Thursday and stabbed her multiple times, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Pasqual allegedly fled the scene and was subsequently detained at a U.S.-Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas, according to the District Attorney's Office.

The woman, identified in media reports and on a GoFundMe page as makeup artist Allie Shehorn, was initially hospitalized in an intensive care unit, but has since been moved out of that unit, according to the fundraising site, which had raised nearly $88,000 as of Wednesday afternoon. The page states that Shehorn was attacked by her ex-boyfriend.

A day after the attack, an arrest warrant was issued charging Pasqual with one count each of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiance, boyfriend, girlfriend or child's parent, according to the District Attorney's Office.

The charges include allegations that Pasqual inflicted great bodily injury on the victim under circumstances involving domestic violence and that he personally used a knife during the crime, according to the District Attorney's Office.

No arraignment date has been set yet for Pasqual, who is expected to be extradited to Los Angeles County, according to the District Attorney's Office.

In a statement announcing the charges, District Attorney George Gascón said, "This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence."

Pasqual could face life in state prison if convicted as charged, according to the District Attorney's Office.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Shehorn met Pasqual — described as a background actor — on the set of the Netflix film "Rebel Moon."
