United became the latest airline Monday to place restrictions on people flying with emotional support animals.

LOS ANGELES, CA —New rules for flying with an emotional support animal on United Airlines will go into effect Monday.
Animals will not be allowed on flights more than eight hours long. The airline will also not accept kittens or puppies under four months old.
United joins Delta and Spirit in changing policies on emotional support animals. Delta and Spirit now require at least 48 hours notice to bring service animals on flights, and additional documentation.
