Baby, Man Killed In Wrong-Way Overnight Crash: LAPD
A vehicle was speeding north on Western Avenue and veered into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a second vehicle, police said.
LOS ANGELES — A baby and a man died in a wrong-way overnight crash in the Vermont Square neighborhood, according to authorities, who said a second man and a woman were in critical condition.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 4600 block of South Western Avenue, authorities said. A vehicle was speeding north on Western Avenue and veered into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a second vehicle, according to police.
The driver of the speeding vehicle, a 40-year-old man, died at the scene, as did the infant, who was in the other vehicle with a man and woman, both 30, who were taken to a trauma center, authorities said.
