SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — We've rounded up the stories you may have missed over the weekend to prepare you for the week ahead.

But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should expect more rain on the way in the first half of the week.

Most of Los Angeles County will likely see less than a half-inch of rain by Wednesday, while at least a tenth of an inch of rain is expected to accumulate in Orange County, the Inland Empire, San Bernardino County mountains and portions of the High Desert between Monday and Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

There's also a slight chance of showers in inland areas of San Diego County, forecasters said.

Skies are predicted to be partly sunny by Thanksgiving Day.

In other news, attorneys for Erik and Lyle Menendez are set to ask a judge Monday to reconsider the convictions of the brothers, who are serving life sentences without parole for the 1989 shotgun slayings of their parents in their Beverly Hills mansion.

The brothers are expected to attend the hearing virtually, through a link from the San Diego prison where they're incarcerated.

The hearing, set for 10:30 a.m. in Van Nuys, is the latest installment in a multi-pronged effort to get the brothers out of prison. Their attorneys are also asking Gov. Gavin Newsom for clemency.

In food-safety news, a California infant has died and at least 10 other people have been sickened in a multi-state listeria outbreak linked to meat and poultry products.

And after bird flu was detected in raw milk sold in California, regulators are urging the public not to drink the impacted batch.

And as attention to organized retail theft continues to grow across the state, police in San Francisco say they've busted a prolific theft ring that included boys as young as 12 years old. The suspects arrested were responsible for at least 23 thefts totaling more than $84,000 in merchandise, police said.
