LOS ANGELES — After the long holiday weekend, we've rounded up all the stories you may have missed since Friday to prepare you for the week ahead.
But before we jump into Southern California’s top stories, a cool and cloudy spell may stretch into next weekend, with afternoon highs largely topping out in the mid-60s around Los Angeles and San Diego for a few more days. A few showers may be in the cards Tuesday.

Catching up on the weekend: The California Highway Patrol reported more than 300 arrests for suspected DUIs in just 24 hours over the three-day weekend, and police have caught a driver suspected in a deadly hit-and-run crash in Pomona. Police in San Diego chased a man in a van for more than an hour on Saturday, and In Orange County, authorities are investigating a restaurant shooting that left two people hospitalized with serious injuries.
