1. The New Year's Eve Celebration set to take place in Grand Park in Los Angeles has been canceled due to rising COVID-19 numbers. The in-person event has instead turned into a broadcast-only event. (CBS Los Angeles)

2. Upcoming Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks hockey games have been postponed after coronavirus outbreaks. A total of 27 games have been postponed due to coronavirus outbreaks on teams this season by the NHL. (Los Angeles Patch)

3. Police are investigating fliers filled with anti-Semitic language regarding COVID-19 that were left in Pasadena and Beverly Hills. The fliers stated that “every single aspect of the COVID agenda is Jewish.” (NBC Los Angeles)

4. A local news investigation by L.A. Taco revealed that vendors for portable sinks and toilets for homeless residents were getting paid millions of dollars for work they were not completing. Only 68 portable toilets are available out of 150 approved by the city council. (L.A. Taco)

5. Brazilian steakhouse Fogo De Chao is opening its third LA location into the former Grimaldi's in El Segundo, joining other steakhouses in the area. There is currently no opening date for the new location. (Eater LA)
