Della Terra Serves up Delicious Dishes for Dinner
Fairfax district eatery offers Northern Italian specialties

Della Terra provides the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner, a get together with friends or to celebrate a special occasion.

The hidden back patio is a gem and decorated with large black and white Hollywood themed photos, bright yellow shade screens, romantic overhead lighting and spaced tables. We were seated at an intimate table for two near the patio entrance. The atmosphere was relaxed and we loved the twinkling rows of lights and the old school artwork.

Appetizers include fried calamari with Arrabiata sauce; bruschetta; meatballs and tomato sauce; pan seared shrimp in a lemon and garlic butter sauce; crab cakes; prosciutto and melon; beef carpaccio; mussels; octopus; and cheese and antipasto plates. We opted for the artichoke with a tangy Dijon aioli which was grilled over a wood fire and the Caesar salad. Both were perfect for a summer al fresco dinner. Other salads options include a beet and goat cheese salad; caprese salad; chopped salad; calamari salad; grilled vegetable salad; steak salad; octopus salad and a Nicoise salad.

We opted for the comfort of Della Terra’s grilled chicken with roasted potatoes, onions and carrots and their delicious carbonara. Both were excellent.
