DUI Checkpoints Planned Across LA All Weekend
From the San Fernando Valley to the Southwest area, the LAPD will be holding DUI checkpoints and saturation patrols.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Police Department has multiple DUI checkpoints and saturation patrols planned for the weekend from the San Fernando Valley to the Southwest Area.
The DUI checkpoint locations target areas with a record of impaired driving-related crashes and arrests, according to the LAPD.
Friday, June 7
DUI Checkpoint from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Victory Boulevard and Winnetka Avenue
DUI Checkpoint from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Santa Monica Boulevard and Bronson Avenue

Saturday, June 8
DUI Saturation Patrol from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Southwest Area
"The Los Angeles Police Department reminds the public that impaired driving is not just from alcohol," the police department said in a written statement. "Some prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs may interfere with driving. While medicinal and recreational marijuana are legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal."
