Christmas is around the corner. Songs of the season are everywhere. However, some tunes are better than others. Last year, Rolling Stone compiled a list of the worst Christmas songs of all time. Which song is the one that is the worst in your book? So far, we have:
- NewSong, ‘The Christmas Shoes’ - 42.9%
- The Jackson 5, ‘I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus’ - 28.6%

- Band Aid, ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ - 14.3%
📰 Here are the top stories today in Los Angeles:
1) There was a fatal stabbing at the Pershing Square subway station on Wednesday morning. Located at 5th and Hill, officials say it’s “currently unclear if the attack was gang-motivated, or if the victim was homeless.” The male victim was found at 1:15 a.m. (KTLA)
2) When the city removed Silver Lake from its water supply, it created a master plan that said the “reservoirs would remain, but most of the 127-acre property would be turned into seven park zones linked by tree-shaded walking paths.” Fast-forward to today, and there are disagreements among neighborhood groups and residents over everything from construction noise to bat protection. If you want to weigh in, you have until December 2 to make your voice heard about the Silver Lake master plan implementation. (The Eastsider LA)
3) The City of Los Angeles will host an anonymous gun buyback on December 3. Bring your handgun, shotgun, rifle, ghost gun, or assault weapon to Exposition Park on Hoover Street. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and you can receive $100 or $200 for your gun. (@LAPDCARRANZA)
4) Did you see the construction at Fairfax Avenue and Venice Boulevard on Wednesday? The Los Angeles City Dept. of Public Works Bureau of Street Services reported that it sent a special projects crew to fix up a bus stop. (BSSLosAngeles)
5) The oldest living dog, according to Guinness World Records, is a 22-year-old rescue living in L.A. We learned on Wednesday that Gino was adopted in 2002 in Boulder, Colorado. “When he was younger, he used to love exploring my parents’ huge backyard with our other dogs in Manhattan Beach, going on walks off the leash in Venice, going on drives along the coast blasting music with his head out the window, or running around on the golf course in La Quinta,” the pup’s owner commented.
