Garbage Truck 110 Freeway Crash Creates Huge Mess
Neighbors described awakening to a loud rumble. "It was crazy...I ain't never felt and heard a car crash as bad," one resident told ABC7.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A crash involving a garbage truck and another vehicle on the Harbor (110) Freeway in the south Los Angeles area Friday left two people injured and sent debris tumbling into a nearby neighborhood.
Paramedics were sent to the northbound 110 Freeway at Manchester Avenue about 2:20 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The trash truck hit a sound wall and caught fire, and the impact sent debris and chunks of cement onto the street near the freeway, damaging parked cars, according to reports from the scene.

A resident of the area, identified only as Patrick, told ABC7 that crashes on the freeway are commonplace, but this one was different.
"It was crazy," Patrick said. ``I ain't never felt and heard a car crash as bad ... When it hit, you would've thought that it was tumbling from the street ... about a good 30 feet, just tumbling. And I could feel the rumble."
