Girl's Father Thwarts Kidnapping Attempt, Suspect Remains At Large
A father intervened as a man attempted to kidnap his daughter Tuesday night, police said.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A father chased off a man who approached his 14-year-old daughter Tuesday night in the San Fernando Valley, thwarting what police say was a kidnapping attempt.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to Cedros Avenue and Chase Street in Panorama City, where they learned the suspect drove up to the teen as she was on a sidewalk, spoke to her briefly and then tried to grab her, an LAPD spokeswoman said.
The girl's father was nearby and chased off the man, NBC 4 reported.

The girl was unharmed. The suspect remains at large, police said.
