LA County Gas Hits Highest Price Since December
Angelenos are seeing gas prices inch back up as the national average holds steady under $4.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The average price for a gallon of gas in Los Angeles County on Thursday hit its highest number since December, inching closer to $5.
The average price for a gallon of regular gas was $4.67 Thursday, and increase of nearly two cents since Wednesday and an increase of 10 cents over the last week. Thursday was the county's 10th increase in the last 11 days.
Thursday's price is still a far cry from record high costs recorded on Oct. 5, averaging $6.494 per gallon.

Los Angeles topped the average price for all of California, which on Thursday was $4.628. The national average sat far lower at $3.437, around a six cent drop from a week ago and a 15 cent increase from a month ago.
The national average hasn't moved much over the last week, according to AAA. National gas demand increased last week as gas stocks also increased. Oil prices also dropped last week.

"Despite rising gas demand, total supply growth has helped limit pump price increases," AAA said in a news release.
