Los Angeles Named 7th Coolest City: Forbes

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Forbes magazine this week named Los Angeles the 7th coolest city in the U.S.

The list of the country's coolest cities, which was compiled with the help of Sperling's Best Place, evaluated 100 of the largest metropolitan cities. Researchers evaluated the cities on nine metrics such as mass transit, eateries and recreation.

After looking at the metrics, the magazine named San Francisco. Seattle was ranked second with San Diego and New Orleans ranked third and fourth.

Los Angeles came in 7th place for its recreation and number of local restaurants. But the city is weak when it comes to net migration and bars and clubs, according to Forbes magazine.
