Man Fatally Shot on Metro Train; Suspects Flee On Skateboards

An argument on the street level of the Expo/La Cienega Station escalated and continued to the upstairs portion of the station.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 39-year-old man was shot and killed Friday evening on a Metro E (Gold) Line train in Baldwin Hills, and three suspects fled on skateboards.

An argument on the street level of the Expo/La Cienega Station escalated and continued to the upstairs portion of the station, where a suspect pulled out a gun and shot the man, who died at the scene, Fox11 reported, citing information from the Los Angeles Police Department.

There was no suspect description.

The investigation into the shooting caused E Line trains to turn back from the Culver City and La Brea stations. Bus shuttles replaced service between the La Brea and La Cienega stations, Metro announced.
