Man Fatally Wounded Near LA When Dispute Escalates Into Shooting

A man was killed Sunday when an argument near the outskirts of the city of Vernon escalated into a shooting, authorities said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A man was killed Sunday when an argument near the outskirts of the city of Vernon escalated into a shooting, authorities said.

The dispute between two men occurred a little after 2:15 a.m. in the 2300 block of East Washington Boulevard, the LAPD's Media Relations Section reported.

One of the men was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
