Medical Examiner: Mar Vista Woman's Shooting Death Listed as `Suicide

LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities Tuesday said a woman who was found shot to death in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles took her own life, authorities said Tuesday.

Officers were sent to Venice Boulevard and Centinela Avenue around 8:45 p.m. Friday on a shots-fired call, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The 25-year-old Marina del Rey woman died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, which listed her manner of death as "suicide."
