A half-acre brush fire sparked by a motorcycle crash in Chatsworth burned Sunday as the rider was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A half-acre brush fire sparked by a motorcycle crash Sunday in Chatsworth continued to burn while the motorcycle's operator was transported to a local hospital.
The fire in the 11000 block of North Redmesa Drive in Chatsworth began around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
The unidentified motorcycle rider was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

Jurisdiction was transferred from the Los Angeles Fire Department to the Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority, an officer with whom will remain on the scene to maintain overnight patrol status with at least one fire engine and a water tender until the city fire department returns Monday at 7 a.m., according to the LAFD.
