The couple were found dead in their Brentwood home Sunday afternoon, according to police.

Hours later, their son — Nick Reiner, 32, was arrested in connection to their killing.

Prosecutors are accusing Reiner of fatally stabbing his parents. He has been charged with two counts of first degree murder with the special circumstance of multiple murders, as well as an additional special allegation that Reiner used a dangerous and deadly weapon in the crimes: a knife, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Reiner made his first court appearance Wednesday. His arraignment was postponed until January at his lawyer's request.
