Netflix Cancels 'House of Cards' Amid Spacey Claims
Kevin Spacey's popular Netflix series will end next year as he faces accusations of unwanted sexual advances.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Netflix on Monday announced it will cancel the popular series "House of Cards" next year, one day after leading actor Kevin Spacey was accused of trying to seduce a teenager.
In a statement to the media, Netflix and Media Rights Capital said it was "deeply troubled" by the accusation by actor Anthony Rapp.
"In response to last night’s revelations, executives from both of our companies arrived in Baltimore this afternoon to meet with our cast and crew to ensure that they continue to feel safe and supported. As previously scheduled, Kevin Spacey is not working on set at this time," the statement read.

Rapp accused Spacey of making unwanted sexual advances toward him when he was just 14 years old.
In a tweet, Spacey offered Rapp the "sincerest apology" but said he did not remember the encounter with the then-14-year-old.

"I'm beyond horrified to hear this story," Spacey said. "I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years."
"House of Cards" will air its sixth season next year. The series tells the story of Washington, D.C. power couple Frank and Claire Underwood. Spacey has won a Golden Globe and two Screen Actors Guild awards for his role in the hit series.
