With the Urban Ballroom Conservatory, dance instructor Roy Dennis is making a positive impact on Altadena and beyond.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Without community leaders, Altadena wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

What does this community leader do?
Teaches seniors and other adults how to Urban Ballroom
Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
He has been teaching for years not only in Pasadena/Altadena but in the L.A. area also, dancing keeps our minds sharp, bodies moving and creates community amongst each other. After we've learned Ballroom, we dress in formal wear and dance at other city Ballroom functions from Pasadena/Altadena to Los Angeles. He also has lessons for couples for their special events.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?
He's dedicated to the community and is passionate about the dance teaching style and elegance.
