  1. There was a fire in the 10600 block of West Venice Boulevard on Saturday afternoon. The LAFD was on hand and extinguished the blaze in about 13 minutes. Firefighters kept the fire contained, and there were no injuries. (Patch)
  2. There are nine fewer retail theft suspects on the streets. The CHP announced Friday that the arrest is the result of a three-month investigation. Officers also recovered “nearly $200,000 in stolen merchandise and cash. Mostly L.A. residents were among those arrested. (Patch)
  3. President Joe Biden announced that the United States would “welcome up to 100,000 Ukrainians.” Three of them made it to L.A. Friday. “They drove from Kyiv through Ukraine to Slovakia, then took a bus to Prague, made their way to Amsterdam, and finally got on a flight to the U.S.,” which was a 10-day journey “driving all day, non-stop, no toilet, no food, no water, just driving fast to get to a safe area.” (Spectrum News 1)
  4. “Her majesty requires your presence” at the Queen’s Ball, Bridgerton interactive experience, located inside the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in DTLA. If you love Bridgerton and take to immersive experiences like butter to a biscuit, this event is for you! It started Thursday, costs around $49 a ticket, and gives you a chance to interact with the performers. (Bridgerton Experience)
  5. LA State Historic Park is hosting the Renegade Craft fair today, Sunday. “Over 200 creators will be on the grounds . . . displaying all sorts of handmade earrings, t-shirts, totes, bags, wallets, hats, and everything else.” Leashed pets are welcome! (NBC)
