Police Seek Additional Possible Robbery Victims

Police believe a 21-year-old man robbed a series of neighborhood convenience stores and may have additional victims.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 21-year-old man suspected in a series of robberies was in custody Thursday, and police sought additional possible victims.

Yazmir Tavon Bagley of Los Angeles was located Wednesday at his residence in the 1100 block of West 17th Street after Los Angeles Police Department Rampart Robbery detectives identified him as the suspect involved in a series of robberies between May 1 and May 19, according to the LAPD.

Two robberies were committed in the 1200 block of Washington Boulevard during that time, with two additional robberies involving assaults with deadly weapons occurring in the 1100 block of Venice Boulevard and the 1800 block of Vermont Avenue. The final theft was reported in the 1400 block of West Third Street.

Police said video surveillance from each robbery depicted Bagley with a black semi-automatic pistol, entering the businesses and taking property at gunpoint.

Bagley was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and for an outstanding felony warrant from the Inglewood Police Department.

Upon further investigation, a replica pellet gun similar to the weapon Bagley allegedly used during the assaults was found at his residence.

Detectives presume there are additional possible theft victims and released a booking photo of Bagley in hopes of encouraging them to come forward.
